I attended the University of Pennsylvania for my bachelor's degree in math. As an undergraduate, I worked in the tutoring department on campus as a math tutor. This experience involved working individually with students and leading small groups. I really enjoyed this experience, and the success of my students was very gratifying. I continued to tutor undergraduate, and I volunteer as a tutor for several nonprofits. I'm comfortable working with students of any age, ability, and background. Students say that my patience, friendliness, and support helps them feel comfortable working through learning obstacles. I encourage my students to ask dumb questions and make mistakes, because this is how we find out what to focus on so that we make improvements quickly. I can tutor algebra, geometry, middle school math, pre-algebra, pre-calculus, trigonometry, and test preparation. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, golf, basketball, watching TV, and cooking.
